Defensive Handgun is Hammered Pear's flagship course. We recommend all students take this class, regardless of age, gender or disability- YOU are you own first responder. -Defensive Handgun is a 1000-level class designed for the everyday citizen who carries a gun in defense of themselves and their family. -The curriculum is designed to add systems and new perspectives to Law Enforcement/Security personnel to help them survive their Fight. Many cops don’t carry off-duty, and we intend to make that culturally taboo. -Designed for new CCW holders and experienced shooters, every student will walk away with an incredible and memorable learning experience. Class Topics: Tourniquet Application, Jeff Cooper's Firearm Safety Block, Fundamentals of Shooting, The Drawstroke, Applied Ballistics, Legal & Moral Use of Force and more. Packing List: -A Quality Handgun -A Quality Holster -500 Rounds of Ammunition -Clothes Accurate to your EDC, but that you won’t be upset to tear/stain. If you wear a suit everyday, purchase an old suit jacket/pants from goodwill. -Weather-Appropriate Gear; We will train no matter the weather -3 Spare Magazines, Preferably Factory-Built/ OEM. Off-brand handgun magazines do not survive classes -Closed-Toed Shoes -Bag Lunch -A Gallon of Water -Battle belts are optional and discouraged. This class is designed for concealed carry. -Ear protection (electronic, noise-cancelling muffs preferred) -Eyepro -Ball Cap/ Scarf Optional -A Solid Belt (if you can fold the belt in half vertically, it’s not going to do well) -Sunscreen/Bugspray Classes Take Place near Cartersville, GA or Suches, GA on Private Property.
