"Does Hammered Pear offer Women-Only Classes?"
Our curriculum centers on the needs of female shooters as a primary focus. Though we recognize that mixed-gender environments can be daunting, the reality of self-defense is that threats often come from male aggressors. For this reason, we train all participants side-by-side to a singular high standard. Being prepared means facing the truth of real-world violence. Criminals do not discriminate based on gender and your mindset shouldn't either.
"What's the return Policy on Classes?"
Hammered Pear currently does not offer refunds for students who miss training. Signing up for a class is a commitment to train, and we train rain or shine.
"What's the Minimum Age to Train?"
Minor students under 18 years of age require the presence of a parent or legal guardian during our drills. We strongly promote family instruction, believing that family units who prepare together are better equipped for survival. Parents must evaluate their own child's maturity; typically, ages 13-14 serve as an ideal starting point. A helpful indicator is whether your teen consistently manages household chores or pet care—if they aren't ready for those daily duties, they aren't ready for the gravity of firearm safety.
"Where are the Training Locations?"
Sessions at Hammered Pear are hosted at Suches, GA on privately owned property. To ensure the security of our land's host, specific directions to the range are sent via email before class starts. The range is an outdoor environment equipped with restrooms and essential facilities for the ladies. Men get nature's preferential treatment.
Does Hammered Pear Offer Private Classes?
Absolutely! We understand that some students are less comfortable shooting on a line with other students. We offer private training on a case-by-case basis; our current rates are $75/HR for a minimum of 4 hours, per person (in the case of small private parties). We can also come to YOU, if you've got an adequate, safe place to shoot.Â
